Earlier this week, the Southern at Heart girls had some fun shopping at the cutest little place called Blu Boutique! After talking with owner Sherri Hollingsworth, we learned that Blu evolved from her love of the Northern edgy style, while also wanting to mix it with the sass and class that comes from the South. She calls this unique, cutting edge style “Southern Glam”. Labeled as a Lifestyle Boutique, Blu sells everything from clothes, to shoes, to accessories as well as home décor. The great thing about the pieces at Blu is that many are EXCLUSIVE, meaning they are only found in the Blu Boutique. Some of my favorite exclusive brands include Johnny Was (JWLA), Driftwood Denim, Southern Jubilee Glassware, and Antelope Shoes. Something else I found to be extremely valuable is how the pieces seamlessly transition from summer to fall. I know that sometimes I find myself saying “oh, I don’t think I will get that because I can only wear it for a couple weeks”. Now that I found Blu, I am so excited that I won’t have that problem again!
Now, we still have a little bit of time left in summer, but we need to be looking ahead to fall. What comes in fall? Football of course! Another one of my favorite looks that was styled by Blu stylist Tracie Gray, was a skirt and top ensemble that was paired with cowboy boots. This particularly showed off the “Southern Glam” that is the theme of the whole boutique. An outfit that I would have never of thought to put cowboy boots with looked amazing when paired together, perfectly blending the Northern and Southern styles.
